The History of Duke City Scorpions Lacrosse

The Scorpions are a club team comprised of athletes from all walks of life, who attend various Middle and High Schools across the City of Albuquerque and surrounding areas. 

Men's Team History

The Duke City Scorpions Men's Lacrosse team had its first season in the spring of 2009 and started out as the Sandia Matador High School Lacrosse team.  This will be our second season as the Duke City Scorpions Club Lacrosse team with the Albuquerque Youth Lacrosse Program and our third season not associated with any public high school. 

Women's Team History

The Duke City Scorpions Women's Lacrosse Team formed under ABQ Youth Lacrosse in the Spring of 2017.  Lead by Head Coach Taylor Hubbard, the Scorpions finished their inaugural season with an impressive overall record while establishing a name for themselves in Women's Lacrosse in New Mexico.
